The Buggy Mums workout is a safe and effective postnatal workout.  It's a packed hour of low impact cardiovascular exercise incorporating a wide range of specific functional strength exercises and stretches aimed to keep you fit for daily life.

  • Fun, low impact cardio exercise drills to burn off that baby fat
  • Resistance Training to tighten and tone your muscles
  • Strengthen your Abs with core stability exercises
  • Condition your pelvic floor so you can sneeze with ease!
  • No childcare worries as your baby comes along with you in the buggy.
 
It's not all about physical exercise though, there's the added benefit of meeting like minded new mums.  The session is very social and fun, BUT be warned, it's much more than a walk in the park!
 
Providing you've had your 6 week post natal check with your GP, you had a normal delivery and you feel ready to start exercising - you're good to go!  
However, if you had a c-section you will need to wait until you are10-12 weeks postnatal (depending on how you feel) before starting the session.

 After the initial trial, sessions are bookable in blocks of 4 * 
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, if more than 24 hours notice is given your session will be transferred to the following week. 
All no shows or last minute cancellations will be charged.
 
ONE TO ONE- sessions also available and are tailor made to the individual. If you need a fitness fix but can't make the class time why not have a personal session at a time that fits in with you and your baby's schedule.

COST - £40 per hour session, which can be individual or split between two mums.
IMPORTANT STUFF
 Please wear comfortable workout clothes - whatever you'd wear to the gym and good supportive trainers.

Layer up and bring waterproofs for yourself and rain cover for the buggy - there's no such thing as 'bad' weather just inappropriate clothing. Buggy Mums is an all weather workout, so be prepared.  Remember the suncream and buggy shade for those hot days too.
 
Bring a towel in summer for floor work.
 
Bring carrier bags in wet weather to put over muddy buggy wheels and protect you car boot.
 
Have a good breakfast - your body needs fuel to burn fat.
 
Bring a bottle of water - it's really important to stay hydrated thought the session, especially if you're breast feeding.
 
All buggies are suitable for the workout.
